Health care professional CPD training

GP Practice Basic Life Support CPD Training

 We can arrange to come to your practice to deliver this 2 hour training session with one of our experienced trainers.
The course is aimed at all staff at the practice including non-clinical members.

The main objectives of training include:

  • The science of resuscitation
  • Recognition of cardiac arrest
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Use of the Automated External Defibrillator
  • Post cardiac arrest care
  • Paediatric BLS guidance
  • Management of the choking patient
  • Pathophysiology of anaphylaxis
  • Treatment pathways for the anaphylactic patient

Our trainers use visual and physical aids to support learning, following the guidance set out by the Resuscitation Council UK to ensure all staff enjoy, but understand the important objectives set.

Numbers of learners on the course is dependant on the size of your training area. It is advised not to have a greater number of 12 learners, to allow the trainer time to support staff with the practical elements of the training.

Certification is included for each learner. 

Certification will list learning objectives undertaken and display the 2 hours of CPD time.


£250 + VAT per session.

Dentist Practice Basic Life Support CPD Training

 We can arrange to come to your practice to deliver this 2 hour training session with one of our experienced trainers.
The course is aimed at all staff at the practice including non-clinical members.

This CPD course meets the criteria for the GDC’s development outcomes C and has the main objectives of training include:

  • Utilising the ABCDE approach to recognise and treat the deteriorating patient – paediatrics and adults
  • Recognise and treat patients in medical emergencies and air way compromise including anaphylaxis, shock, choking and fainting
  • Understand medical conditions associated with a risk of deterioration and how to manage these patient groups in a medical emergency in clinical practice. This includes Epilepsy, Diabetes, Acute Asthma, COPD and Cardiovascular Disease (Angina, Stroke and Heart Attack)
  • When and how to deliver oxygen when airways are compromised to establish and maintain ventilation
  • Maintenance of the oxygen cylinder in use
  • Deliver standard CPR in adults and children including AED
  • Understand how emergency drugs work and when to use them in clinical practice. This includes adrenaline/epinephrine injection, adrenaline 1 in 1000, Aspirin dispersible 300mg tablets, Glucogon injection 1 unit vial (with solvent), Oral Glucose, Glyceryl trinitrate sublingual spray, Midazolam Oro mucosal solution, salbutamol 100mcg/metered dose inhaler

Seizures & Buccal Midazolam Administration

We can arrange to come to your location or use our dedicated training centre to deliver this 1-hour training session with one of our experienced trainers. 

The course is aimed at all staff, including non-clinical members.

The main objectives of the training include:

  • Understanding seizures and epilepsy
  • Recognition of different types of seizures
  • Safety protocols for seizure management
  • Emergency response procedures
  • Administration of buccal midazolam
  • Post-seizure care and monitoring
  • Legal and ethical considerations

Our trainers use visual and physical aids to support learning, ensuring all staff engage with and understand the crucial objectives set. They follow the latest clinical guidelines and best practices to ensure comprehensive and practical knowledge transfer.

Trainers also conduct a hands-on workshop demonstrating the administration of buccal midazolam and other essential seizure management skills.


The number of learners on the course depends on the size of your training area. It is advised not to have more than 12 learners to allow the trainer sufficient time to support staff with the practical elements of the training.

Certification is included for each learner. 

Certification will list the learning objectives undertaken and display the 1 hours of CPD time.


£250 + VAT per session.

ECG CPD Sessions

We have two courses available within our ECG CPC portfolio, these include:

  • ECGs The Basics
  • Advanced ECGs 

These courses are aimed at clinical members of your team, who work with cardiac monitoring equipment and are wanting to grow their understanding of ECGs.

The main objectives of ECGs The Basics include:

  1. Basic anatomy of the heart
  2. Blood flow around the heart
  3. Electric conducting system of the heart
  4. How an ECG complex relates to the electric conducting system and anatomy of the heart
  5. Normal timings of an ECG
  6. Basic rules of ECG interpretation
  7. How to undertake an ECG
  8. Basic rhythms
  9. Basic arrhythmias
  10. Basic blocks
  11. Right and left bundle branch issues
  12. Treatments and prevention strategies


The main objectives of Advanced ECGs include:

  1. Advanced aythremias 
  2. PE recognition 
  3. ID of toxins and overdoses on ECGs
  4. Things that cause prolonged QT intervals and why it is dangerous.
  5. Torsades de points.
  6. How to recognise anti depressant overdose on ECG
  7. Iron and digoxin over dose on ECG
  8. Wolf Parkinson white on ecg
  9. Drugs, treatments and things we have to be careful of when we have patients with these conditions


Our trainers use visual and physical aids to support learning, ensuring all staff engage with and understand the crucial objectives set. They follow the latest clinical guidelines and best practices to ensure comprehensive and practical knowledge transfer.

Trainers also conduct a hands-on workshop demonstrating how to undertake an ECG and interpret its findings.
